Happy Halloween

This year for Halloween we had our cousins over for a wonderful steak dinner that my wonderful husband prepared. He is such an amazing cook. He made steak, shrimp, mashed potatos, corn, and home made rolls. It was a huge hit. We also dressed up our little boy. I know he's a little too young to know what is going on, but how could I not dress him up? He looked so cute!! And he actually really liked his costume because he could chew on the mane.

Heres some Halloween treats I made for the family get together. Ghost cookies and a pumkin cake! I'm not a huge cook and so I was really proud how they turned out. We had a great Halloween!! Can't wait for next year when Nathan will be a bit older and can trick or treat :)

5 Months!!!

Here he is Five months!!! He weighs 17.4 pounds and is actually starting to grow hair!! He is changing so much! But still not rolling over or eating his food very well. But he'll get it eventually. Right now his thing is punching. He loves to clench his little fist and whack who ever is near by. He is getting over his first cold. Poor boy!! But I think he's feeling better today. Which I am waaay excited about.

Just for Fun

When I clean or cook in the kitchen I always put Nathan in his bouncy chair, and he just sits there and watches me. I am enjoying this while it lasts because I know in just a few months he will not be just sitting there watching me anymore!!

I have no idea why, but when I saw this picture I thought of his cousin Logan. Which is odd because I don't think they look a thing alike normally.

First Feeding!!! Well first attempt

A couple of weeks ago we tried to feed Nathan his first cereal. He HATES it!!! I put the spoon in and he gets this look of utter disgust and betrayal on his face. We are still working on him though. We also tried sweet potatoes a couple of days ago and that seemed to go a bit better. Hopefully he won't be wanting milk the rest of his life!!!

Winter is Here :(

So Saturday was our first official day of winter. It was extremely cold and snowed a little here in Spanish Fork, but it didn't stick. Up North though they got several inches! I'm so not ready for this! I grew up in the deserts of southern California and no matter how long I live in Utah I will never get used to the snow. And this year will be different because we now have a baby who needs to be kept warm. It will be interesting. Anyway, Saturday I bundled Nathan up and he looked so cute!! I had to take some pictures. Also, I took Nathan for his four month appointment and he is doing very well. He weighs 16.2 pounds and is 26 inches long. Which seems big but I actually expected him to be bigger. He is growing everyday and changes constantly. He is such a joy!

4 months!!!!

His Favorite Toy....Mr. Monkey

It's a miracle!! While I was going through my old pictures I found my old camera!! So until I find the cord for my camera I can take pictures with my old one. Here are some pictures I took today. My friend Angela gave Nathan this little monkey and he LOVES it. He is getting soooo big, as you can see. I'm so excited I can take pictures of him again. He is napping right now, but when he wakes up we will take 4 month hippo pictures!!

The Wii!!!

In November 2006 the famous Nintendo Wii came out!! I was never into video games before, but Dallin has always loved them. Not only does he play them, but his dream is to program his own. Anyway, he was sooooo excited when the Wii game out. But they were near impossible to get. So what did we do? We camped outside the Walmart in their parking lot the night before it came out. It was soooo cold and probably the craziest thing I've ever done. lol. but it was an awesome memory. I wish we had taken more pictures of us camping, but this is the only one I could find. It is of Dallin, after 48 hours in the parking lot, receiving his wrist band guaranteeing our wii. He looks so happy!! And a bit like a homeless man. lol.
....what was really funny was that after all that effort, a man came right before the Wiis were handed out and they just happened to have one more than they thought. So some guy just walked up and got one while we froze to death in the parking lot!!! I'm sure he was proud.

One of our engagement photos

This is one of the many engagement photos my sister took for us. Like my dad, my sister is also a wonerful photographer. This picture is actually the only one I have on my computer!! It turns out my sister has the rest. I will post more when she sends them to me.

England!!! A year and a half ago

In March 2006 Dallin's company send BOTH of us to England for a 'business' trip. The first five days Dallin spent working hard by attending train conventions. lol. And then we went on to London for five days of on our own fun. It was a blast. The highlight for us was actually seeing Wicked!! Which is an American play. lol. We also saw Les Miserables and all the London sights. It was soooo much fun. And a dream come true for me since I've always wanted to go to England. When we got engaged I made Dallin promise me one day he would take me to Europe. I was picturing us old and retired, but he fulfilled his promise six months after we got married!! He is so awesome. And his company was so awesome too.
One day we went to a botanic garden called Kew Gardens. It was so cool. Dallin saw this Japanese building in the distance and we walked and walked and walked to find it. He was so happy when we finally did.

Dallin at Hyde Park across the street from Buckingham Palace

This was a restroom in the middle of london where you had to put money in to use. Dallin was, as usual, having stomach problems. lol. No he was just pretending

Dallin sneaking into Buckingham palace. What you don't see is a guard right around the corner with a HUGE gun. Yeah, he wouldn't have made it far!

no explanation needed

I was so excited to see Buckingham Palace!!! I was beaming the whole time. I've always been really interested in the British Monarchy, and that obession only had a little to do with Prince William, and so I was really excited to finally see this famous house of theirs.

Me and Little Ben

When Dallin's company was paying for everything we had really nice hotel rooms, but when we got to London we were on our own. this room was 175 dollars a night and it was the tiniest thing in the world. We tried to capture how small it was in the picture, but the room was too small to get a picture of the whole thing in one shot. If that makes sense. Anyway, this is me in the tiny hotel room. Notice that it maybe small, but they still managed to squeese in a tea set for us! Got to love England.

Japanese building again

Streets of London at night

Went all that way and here we are eating KFC and Subway. lol
St. James Palace. One of the many residents of Prince Charles, William, and Harry

Clarence House. The official home of Prince Charles, William, and Harry. This is also where the Queen Mum lived while she was alive and where Princess Diana stayed during her engagement to Prince Charles
Buckingham Palace

Monument of Queen Victoria outside Buckingham Palace

Oh yeah, we took a trip to Hogwarts while we were there. We figured we might as well.

Waiting for Wicked to start

Still waiting

This monkey was pretty pricey, but Dallin could tell I really wanted it. Seeing Wicked was such a blast!!! I'm glad I have a momento

We loved finding words that were the same as in the US, but spelled differently. This one was funny

Me outside Wicked

Me in the tiny room again. Sitting on the bed that was so hard it nearly broke our backs

Me in Westminister Abbey. This is where Princess Diana's funeral took place
